Multifamily Housing
Apartments and mid-scale multifamily that work for residents and pencil out for owners. I plan unit layouts, common areas and sites built to hold up over years of daily use.
rotharc is a Salem architecture studio led by Daniel Roth, AIA, designing housing and community spaces that make neighborhoods better places to live.
Over the past eight years I worked on multifamily housing and civic buildings with the team at CBTWO Architects in Salem. Those years of experience shaped how I work today. I started rotharc with a dream of creating impactful community projects in the place that I call home. Good design carries real weight when a project intends to impact a community, and I bring that care to every project at rotharc. As an independent studio, I give each client direct attention and stay close to the work from first sketch through construction.
What I design →rotharc turns early client designs and concepts into clear, buildable direction for multifamily, residential, and other community spaces across Salem and the greater Willamette Valley.
One person guides the work from site review and zoning strategy through schematic design, construction documents, permitting, and construction administration — ensuring the project is built to the high standard of design that you desire.

rotharc is based in Salem and takes on projects throughout the greater Willamette Valley. Local knowledge counts for a lot in this work. I stay current on city codes, zoning updates and the way each town is growing, so the design fits both the site and the community around it.
